Biography
DR. BANDAR was currently the Director of Nursing Administration in Health Affairs Directorate of Al-Baha Region, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He graduated & obtained his Diploma in Nursing in 1997 and began ascending the ladder of nursing leadership. He was the Director of Nursing in Prince Mishary Bin Saud Hospital (formerly known as Baljurashi General Hospital) from 2001 till August 0f 2006. He realized that education is very essential to become a better leader. He applied for scholarship and pursued his Bachelor Degree of Nursing in Southern Queensland University 2006-2008, Australia. Because of his desire to improve the delivery of care for better-patient outcomes he continued his Master Degree and specializes in Nursing Management at Monash University, Australia [from 2009 to July 2011]. He never stops and aimed higher, finally on December 2016 he graduated with the degree: Doctor of Philosophy PhD. Nursing (in Acute & Critical Care) at RMIT University-Melbourne, Australia. He dreamt to make contribution and help to reduce inequalities in health outcomes in his home country by finding ways to develop a culturally competent nursing workforce for this part of his studies focused on “Transcultural Nursing. He is one of the speakers in the 39th Transcultural Nursing Society Annual Conference Presenter Albuquerque, NM, United States of Americaâ€ÂÂÂ, October 2013. He initiated to impart the concept thru in Al Baha region thru a Course entitled: TRANSCULTURAL NURSING: The Role of Nursing Leaders and Cultural Competence for Nurses (May 24, 2017/Shaban 28, 1438-Wednesday).
